Short funny stories for adults:

1. The Lions and the Lamp:

Three hungry lions wander across the Serengeti National Park in search of food when they stumble upon an old oil lamp.

Having never seen one before and being naturally curious, they start sniffing around it. As they’re doing this, one of their tails brushes against the lamp, and then there’s a ‘Pooof!’ sound.’ A genie is suddenly standing in front of them.

Lions,” says the genie, “I’m the genie of the lamp, and I’ll grant you three wishes. That’s one wish for each of you.”

The first lion is so hungry he doesn’t need to think very hard.

I would like a big, juicy piece of meat, please,” he says.

Pooof! In a flash, the biggest, juiciest piece of meat is lying on the ground in front of him.

Well, it’s the turn of the second lion, and he’s so hungry he decides he wants even more.

I want a shower of meat, please,” he says.

Pooof! In a flash, there are big, juicy pieces of meat falling from the sky.

Not wishing to be outdone by his friends, the third lion thinks hard for a second or two.

Got it!” he says. “I want a meatier shower!

2. Parents know best:

Two young brothers, Will and Jack, had very different, extreme personalities.

Their parents quickly realized that Will was a born optimist, whilst Jack was a real pessimist.

So, being concerned about them both, their parents decided to take them to see a child psychologist.

The psychologist thought the parents were overreacting and tried to reassure them.

Mr and Mrs Smith,” he said, “I’m sure you’re exaggerating. I’m happy to review their behaviour for you, but I’ll be surprised if your boys are any different from any other young kids.”

In an attempt to allay their fears, he then took Jack into a room filled with the most exciting toys any child could possibly imagine.

Naturally, the psychologist expected to see Jack play with all these toys enthusiastically.

However, Jack just burst into tears.

What’s the matter?” asked the psychologist. “Don’t you want to play with all these wonderful toys?

No!” Jack responded. “I might break them, and then I’ll be in big trouble.”

Well, the psychologist was surprised by Jack’s extreme pessimism, but he couldn’t believe that both boys would be quite so different.

So, he decides to take Will into another room.

This room is filled from floor to ceiling with horse manure.

Naturally, the psychologist was expecting Jack to be completely repulsed by the experience.

However, Will was in his element, and he quickly started digging in the manure with his bare hands.

What are you doing?” asked the psychologist. “Why are you digging?

With all this manure,” replied Will, “there’s got to be a horse here somewhere!

3. The new teacher:

A new teacher is sitting with her 6th-grade class for the first time.

Naturally, she’s keen to apply all the techniques she’s learned in her teacher training, and in particular, she’s keen to use what she’s learned in her psychology class.

She stands in front of her class and says, “Right, children, everyone who thinks they’re stupid, please stand up.

Well, for a few minutes, there’s silence, and no one stands up.

However, just then, Little Johnny bravely gets to his feet.

The teacher smiles and says, “Do you think you’re stupid, Johnny?

No mam,” Johnny responded, “but it’s not fair, you standing there all on your own.”

4. On the Starship Enterprise:

On the Starship Enterprise, Captain Kirk is chatting with Doctor Spock one day.

Spock,” says Captain Kirk, “you always remain calm and good-natured, even when you’re talking to people who are obviously far less intelligent than you. How do you do it?

Well, Jim,” says Spock. “I convey my contempt for people I consider inferior to me by simply agreeing with whatever they say.”

Really?” says Captain Kirk. “That’s absolutely ridiculous!

I completely agree with you, Jim,” Spock responded with a smile.

5. Telling the time:

Two old Army buddies, Jim and Pete, are sitting up late at night, enjoying a bottle of the finest Scotch and reminiscing about old times in foreign places.

They’ve been drinking all evening, and they’re starting to get a little tipsy, to say the least.

Eventually, Jim asks, “What time is it?

To which Pete responds, “I don’t know, but give me your old bugle.”

Why?” Jim asks. “How can you tell the time with a bugle?

It’s easy,” says Pete. “Just watch me.”

Jim passes him the bugle, and Pete starts playing Reveille very, very loudly.

Within seconds, a voice shouts from the floor above, “Who the hell’s playing the bugle at one o’clock in the morning?

Funny stories with a twist:

1. The Jigsaw Puzzle:

Joe lives next door to a slightly dotty old lady in her 90s named Mabel.

One day, Joe gets a phone call from Mabel, and she says to him, “Joe, can you please come over and help me? I’ve got a complicated jigsaw puzzle, and I can’t figure out how to get started.

So Joe thinks for a second, and then he asks Mabel, “What’s the picture meant to be when it’s finished, Mabel?

The picture on the box is a rooster,” Mabel responds.

Joe’s busy, but Mabel’s a dear old lady, so he decides to go over to help her.

Mabel welcomes Joe and escorts him into her dining room, where the box and its contents are all over her dining table.

Joe surveys the situation in front of him, and then he turns to Mabel and says, “Mabel, I have to tell you, there’s no way we’ll be assembling these pieces into anything resembling a rooster.”

Why’s that, Joe?” Mable asks.

Joe smiles benevolently and then says, “Mabel, why don’t you make me a nice cup of tea?”

“OK, Joe,” says Mabel with a smile.

And then Joe sighs deeply and says, “While you’re making the tea, I’ll put all the Corn Flakes back in the box.

2. Finding Work:

Jim is a young guy living in a small town who failed to graduate from high school.

Having left school, his father says to him, “Son, you failed high school, but you’re a man now, so you must contribute some money to the household if you want to live here. So, get a job or you’ll have to find somewhere else to live.”

Naturally, Jim’s concerned about finding work without any qualifications. The local economy is in bad shape, and work prospects in the area are slim, at best.

However, there are three factories in town willing to hire the unskilled, but they all have bad reputations as employers.

Having little choice, Jim gets a job at the factory widely regarded as the best of the three.

His first day was truly awful, and he hates the place. Everyone is so miserable, and people don’t speak with each other. Nevertheless, Jim is determined he’ll stick it out and try to make the best of it.

Two weeks go by, and Jim gets his first paycheck.

It isn’t much, but he takes it home with pride to show his father.

His father looks at the check and then says, “Son, this isn’t good enough. I’m not happy at all.

Jim panics and says, “Pa, I’ll do better. Don’t kick me out. Just give me a chance.”

He then goes out and gets himself a job at the factory, widely regarded as the second-best of the three.

His experience on the first day in his new job is even worse than before. People look downtrodden and broken by their miserable lives. Everyone’s unhappy.

However, Jim’s determined that he won’t let his father down.

Two weeks go by, and Jim gets his first paycheck.

Again, it isn’t much, but he takes it home with pride to show his father.

His father looks at the check and then says, “Son, what are you thinking? This isn’t good enough either.

Well, Jim feels awful. However, he goes out and gets a job at the factory widely regarded as the worst in town.

The experience of his first day is the saddest you can imagine. Other employees are sobbing, and some seem to think ending it all might be preferable to their miserable existence.

Every day is a struggle for Jim, but he sticks at it, and after two weeks, he gets his first paycheck.

Fearing his father’s reaction, Jim stumbles home, broken and assuming his fate would be to be thrown out onto the street.

He gets home and hands his father the check, fearing the worst.

His father looks at the check, then looks Jim in the eye and says, “Son, this is OK now. You’ve done a saddest factory job.

3. The Math Test:

The coach of a college football team walked into the locker room before a game and said to his star player, “Listen, buddy, I’m not supposed to let you play because you failed your last math test. However, I need you out there for this game. So, I’ll ask you a math question, and if you get it right, you can play.”

OK,” says the player, “go ahead, coach.”

Right, now you’ll need to think hard,” says the coach. “What is five multiplied by five?

The player thought momentarily and then said, “Coach, I’m not sure, but I think it’s 25.”

“25!” exclaimed the coach, excited.

Oh, come on, coach,” the other players all immediately shouted in unison. “Give him another chance!

4. Trying Out for the Team:

A freshman built like a battle tank tried out for the college football team.

Can you tackle?” asked the coach.

Sure, coach,” says the guy, “No problem!” With that, he proceeds to charge at a wooden telephone pole, shattering it into splinters.

Impressive,” says the coach. “Can you run?

Yes, sir, coach. Watch me!” says the guy. With that, he runs 100 meters, finishing in less than 10 seconds.

That’s fantastic,” says the coach, truly impressed. “But the question now is, can you pass the ball?

Well,” says the freshman, choosing his words carefully, “if I can swallow it, then I guess I’ll be able to pass it.

5. Cure for Coughing:

Johnny was a clerk in a drugstore, but he wasn’t very good at his job. However hard he tried, he could never find the item the customer wanted.

His boss, Bert, had had enough of him, and he gave Johnny a warning that unless he started making sales immediately, he’d have to let him go.

As luck would have it, within minutes, a man walks into the drugstore with a cough, and he asks Johnny for their best cough syrup.

Though he tried hard, Johnny couldn’t find the cough syrup. However, with Bert’s warning still ringing in his ears, he sold the man a box of Ex-Lax with the recommendation that he consume the contents all at once.

The customer did as he was told and then walked into the street and promptly leaned up against a lamppost.

Now Bert had been observing Johnny’s performance from afar, and he came over and asked him what had transpired.

Well, boss, he wanted cough syrup, but I couldn’t find it, so I substituted Ex-Lax and told him to take them all at once,” said Johnny.

That’s absurd! Ex-Lax won’t cure a cough,” Bert reacted angrily.

Sure it will,” said Johnny. “Look at him now, leaning on that lamppost. He’s too afraid to cough.”

Hilariously funny jokes:

1. Getting to know your students:

It was the beginning of a new school year, and the teacher was getting to know the children by asking them their names and what their fathers did for a living.

The first little girl to respond said, “I’m Mary, and my dad’s a builder.

Then another little girl spoke and said, “My name’s Louisa, and my dad’s a police officer.

The conversation went on like this as the teacher went around the class, until one little boy said, “I’m Jack, and my dad’s a stripper in a gay bar.

Naturally, the teacher was surprised by this comment, and feeling slightly uncomfortable with the direction the conversation was taking, she decided it might be better to change the subject.

A little later, she spotted Jack in the schoolyard on his own. So the teacher approached him and asked if it was true that his father worked as a stripper in a gay bar.

Jack’s face turned a little red as he replied, “No, he’s actually a banker, but I was too embarrassed to admit that in front of the class.

2. Bikers at the roadside diner:

Jeff was sitting quietly in a roadside diner, enjoying his lunch, when suddenly three mean-looking bikers walked in.

The first guy strolls over to Jeff and stubs a cigarette into his lunch.

The second biker then walks over and spits in Jeff’s coffee.

Finally, the third guy picks up Jeff’s plate and flings it, crashing to the floor. Then he starts howling with laughter straight in Jeff’s face.

Jeff quietly gets to his feet and leaves the diner.

The third biker walks across to the waitress, who was standing behind the counter, and sneers, “Well, he wasn’t much of a man, now was he?

The waitress smiles and, glancing in the direction of the window, responds, “It looks like he wasn’t much of a driver either. He’s just backed his truck over those three motorcycles parked outside and trashed them all.

3. The baseball game:

One day, the Devil challenges God to a baseball game between teams from Heaven and Hell.

God smiled and said, “Hell wouldn’t have a chance.

Why?” queried the Devil.

Oh, Devil, come on now? I’ve got the greatest baseball players of all time. Hey, I’ve got Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle. I’ve even got the Yankee Clipper, Joe DiMaggio. Who have you got?” said God.

The Devil grinned and said, “Well, God, impressive as your list is, I’ve still got all the umpires.

4. The haircut:

Jim went into a barber’s shop that was advertising David Beckham-style haircuts.

Twenty minutes later, Jim looked in the mirror, and he was shocked to see that looking back at him was an erratically shaven scalp and a head covered in cuts.

Naturally, Jim protested to the barber. Pointing to his head, Jim said, “Now listen to me, buddy, this is not how David Beckham has his hair cut.

He would if he had his hair cut here,” the barber responded.

5. The night watchman:

The US government owned a scrapyard in the middle of the desert.

This was the source of some concern to Congress because the feeling was that people could steal from it.

So, they decided to create the role of night watchman, and someone was hired to do the job.

However, Congress was then concerned about how the night watchman could carry out his duties without instruction.

The solution to this dilemma was to create a planning department, and two people were hired to fill the position. One was hired to write instructions, and the other to carry out time and motion studies.

Congress then had concerns about how they might measure whether the night watchman was doing his job effectively.

To address this problem, they established a quality control department and hired two additional personnel. One was hired to study job performance and the other to write reports.

Then Congress questioned how everyone would be paid. To resolve this issue, two additional personnel were hired: one as a timekeeper and one as a payroll officer.

However, that wasn’t the end of Congress’s concerns because the obvious question was, “Who is to be accountable for all these people?

The solution was to create an Administration Department and hire three additional staff members – an Administration Director, an Administration Officer, and a Legal Secretary.

A year passed, and following a review, Congress expressed concern that the operation was $27,000 over budget. Naturally, they considered ways to reduce overall costs.

The solution agreed upon by Congress was to lay off the night watchman.

5 story jokes that are actually funny

JOKES THAT ARE ACTUALLY FUNNYIf you’re looking for some jokes that are actually funny, then take a look at these five little gems I have on offer for you today.

They all made me laugh and I’m confident that they’ll raise a smile with you too.

Enjoy them all and please feel free to share them.

Jokes that are actually funny:

1. Resourceful assistant:

Maude had recently been widowed and she visits the mortuary to pay her respects to her late husband, Bert’s body.

The mortuary assistant leads her into the Chapel of Rest where the late Bert’s body is lying-in-state.

On seeing Bert, Maude cannot stop herself from sobbing, with tears pouring down her face.

The mortuary assistant attempts to comfort her, putting his arm around her and saying, “Mam, I’m so sorry for your loss, but at least he’s at peace now.”

Maude struggles to regain her composure.

After a few moments, she says, “It’s not losing him that’s upset me, I just can’t bear seeing him wearing a suit.”

The mortuary assistant apologises before saying, “When men pass away, we always bury them in a suit.

But Bert was a clown, and he spent his life making others laugh,” said Maude. “His dying wish was to be buried in a clown costume.

Oh, I see,” said the mortuary assistant. “Well, let me see what I can arrange for you. Leave it with me.

On the morning of the funeral, Maude returns to the mortuary to spend a few, precious seconds with Bert and to say goodbye.

The mortuary assistant opens the casket for her, and as he does so, Maude smiles when she sees that Bert is now dressed in the costume he loved.

Oh, thank you,” said Maude. “But where did you find a clown costume at such short notice?

It was serendipity really,” said the mortuary assistant, with a smile. “Just the day before yesterday, another clown died following a tragic accident whilst he was performing at the circus.

Really?” said Maude.

Yes,” said the mortuary assistant. “And, as luck would have it, his family wanted him to be buried in a suit.

I don’t quite follow,” said Maude, a little confused.

Well, it was simple,” said the mortuary assistant. “All I had to do was swap their heads around.

2. Alligator fight:

Jeff had made his fortune as a hedge fund manager on Wall Street, but he’d had enough of the pressure, so he decided it was time to retire to Florida for the sunshine and a more relaxed lifestyle.

He bought himself a fabulous villa in the Everglades, and naturally, he was now keen to get to know his neighbours,

So, he decides to throw a big poolside party at his villa, and he invites everyone in the street, including a local politician named Joe Garcia.

Well, the party is going well and everyone’s having a great time. The food’s good, the wine’s the best, and the music has everyone dancing.

As everything’s in full swing, Jeff suddenly shouts, “Now listen up everyone. There’s a 12-foot alligator in the pool, and I’ll buy a brand-new Porsche Cayenne for anyone who’ll join him for a swim.

Barely had Jeff offered this challenge when he hears the sound of a loud splash.

He looks towards the pool and there’s local politician, Joe Garcia in the water, fighting madly with the alligator.

It’s a mean fight with wrestling, punches, biting, and choke holds. Water is splashing everywhere, and Joe Garcia and the alligator are raising hell.

Finally, after what seemed like an age, Joe Garcia strangles the alligator and leaves it floating on the surface of the pool.

He then staggers wearily out of the pool, as everyone stares at him in disbelief.

Well, Joe,” says Jeff, “I owe you a Porsche Cayenne.”

No, that won’t be necessary, I don’t want it,” said Joe.

Oh, come on,” said Jeff. “I have to give you something, you won the bet.

No thanks, I have a nice car and I don’t need another one,” Joe insisted.

Come on, you were amazing,” said Jeff. “How about I give you a Rolex watch?

Once again, Joe Garcia says, “No thanks.”

Confused, Jeff asks, “Well then, what do you want?

Joe looked around suspiciously at his fellow revellers and then said, “I want to get even with the son-of-a-bitch who pushed me in!

3. Hard truth:

An Englishman, a Frenchman and a Russian were in an art gallery viewing a painting of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Look at their reserve and calm,” said the Englishman. “That suggests they were English.”

Nonsense,” said the Frenchman. “They are naked and beautiful. That suggests they must have been French.”

The Russian reflected on what he’d just heard momentarily and then he shook his head. “No,” he said. “They have no clothes, no shelter and only an apple to eat and they’re being told they’re in paradise. They were definitely Russian.

4. Ageing problems:

Old Albert is visiting his doctor because he’s been having trouble with his hearing.

Doc,” says Albert, “I’ve been having problems with my hearing.”

Right!” says the doctor. “Let me take a closer look.

With that, the doctor picks up an otoscope and begins inspecting Albert’s ear.

After a few moments of inspection, the doctor says, “It looks like there’s some sort of object stuck in your ear.

The doctor grabs a pair of tweezers and proceeds to remove the object carefully.

As he pulls it out, the doctor looks at it closely and then exclaims, “It looks like a suppository!

Old Albert looks closely at the suppository, and then he looks at the doctor and says “Doc, can I use your phone?”

Of course,” the doctor replied.

I need to tell my wife that I now know where I put my hearing aid,” Albert continued.

5. Amish ways:

An elderly Amish woman was driving her buggy to a nearby town when a police officer stops her on the road.

Mam, I’m sorry to stop you,” said the police officer, “but I noticed that your rear reflector is broken, and this could be dangerous.”

Officer, I thank thee,” the Amish woman replied. “As soon as I get home, I’ll have my husband fix it.

Well, that’s fine,” said the police officer, “but I also noticed that one of the reins is wrapped around your horse’s testicles. That’s not going to be very comfortable for the horse. So, please have your husband check that too.”

Officer, again, I must thank thee,” said the woman. “I’ll mention it to him as soon as I get home.

True to her word, as soon as the Amish woman got home, she told her husband about the broken reflector on the buggy.

I’ll attend to it immediately,” he responded.

Good,” she replied. “And while you’re at it, the police officer seemed to think there was something wrong with the emergency brake.”

5 really funny jokes to make you smile

REALLY FUNNY JOKESIf you’re looking for some really funny jokes, then take a look at these five I’ve got for you today.

They all made me smile and I’m confident they’ll tickle your funny bone too.

Enjoy them all and please feel free to share them.

Really funny jokes:

1. The Parrot:

Jack is a magician performing magic shows on a cruise ship in the Caribbean.

It’s an undemanding workload of two shows a day to a crowd of elderly American tourists, who all seem to enjoy his show.

However, there’s one problem that’s increasingly challenging for Jack and that’s the captain’s talking parrot which he brings to every show.

The parrot’s seen Jack’s show so many times it knows how all the tricks are done and it reveals these secrets to the audience after each trick.

When there’s a trick with a water jug, the parrot will say, “It’s a fake water jug!

When there’s a trick with a rabbit, the parrot will say, “The rabbit is under his hat!

And when there’s the showpiece finale with Jack’s pretty assistant, the parrot will say, “The girl’s hiding under a trap door!

Frustrating as all this is for Jack, the audience thinks it’s part of the act and they love it.

So instead of coming to see Jack perform his magic tricks, the crowds are turning up to see him being humiliated by the parrot.

To turn things around, Jack’s constantly trying to find a new trick to impress the crowd. A trick that the parrot won’t know how it’s done.

One day, he announces a spectacular new disappearing trick which involves pyrotechnics and fire.

All the passengers and crew fill the auditorium to see this new trick on the first night it’s being performed.

Unfortunately, as he’s performing it, Jack accidentally ignites a nearby fuel line causing a series of explosions resulting in the ship breaking apart and sinking within seconds.

The next morning as the sun rises, all that’s left of the ship is some floating wreckage with Jack and the parrot clinging to it.

Jack and the parrot glare at each other but no words are spoken.

This goes on for several days until, at the end of the week, the parrot breaks the silence by saying, “OK I give up. Where’s the ship?

2. Little Johnny Joke:

Old Mrs Thompson could hear someone sobbing, so she wandered out into her backyard to see what was going on.

Quickly, she realises that the sobbing sounds are coming from next door.

Naturally, being curious, she looks over the fence to see what’s going on.

There she sees little Johnny, with tears streaming down his cheeks, patting down a large mound of earth with a spade.

Hello Johnny,” said Mrs Thompson, “is everything alright?

No, it’s not alright mam,” said Johnny. “My goldfish is dead, and I’ve just had to bury it.

I’m sorry to hear that,” Mrs Thompson responded.

Staring momentarily at the mound of earth that Johnny’s patting down, Mrs Thompson then inquired, “That seems like a large grave for a goldfish, Johnny, why did you make it so big?

Because the goldfish’s inside your cat!” Johnny responded.

3. The Old Tomb:

In Russia, a group of building workers are digging the foundations for a multistorey building when, suddenly, they discover an old tomb.

So, the site manager calls in three groups of experts to investigate. The experts include anthropologists, archaeologists, and the KGB.

The anthropologists looked inside the tomb, did some testing, took photographs, and then produced a report. They conclude that the tomb was that of a nobleman from medieval times. However, they felt more testing was required.

So, the archaeologists started their investigation. They take samples, have them tested in the laboratory, and then check the results against their database. Finally, they agree on a conclusion.

Their report suggests that the tomb, and the body in it, is that of a male, probably in his fifties when he died. They believed that the tomb was sealed around the year 1,100. However, once again, they suggest more investigation is required for a more precise answer.

So, at this point, the KGB entered the tomb. The door was immediately sealed, and nothing could be heard for a few days. Eventually, the door opens again and the men from the KGB present their conclusion.

The KGB chief says, “We have established that this is the tomb of Vladimir Demidov, born in the year 1,025, March 9th. He was the ruler of this province for 30 years after his father died of an unknown illness. He was married to Lady Yelizaveta in 1,047. They had no children and when he died, his tomb was sealed to preserve the sanctity of his rest, under the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, which was demolished in 1,800 when the town was reformed.

The other experts looked on in amazement, until one asked, “How were you able to gather so much precise information so quickly?

Well,” said the KGB chief, “we took our time, naturally, but with our methods, it was only a matter of time before the corpse confessed everything.”

4. Three Wishes:

One day three guys, Jim, Rick, and Bobby, are out having a relaxing day out fishing near Cape Cod.

Suddenly, to their great surprise, they catch a mermaid.

They haul the mermaid up in a net, and she promises them that if they set her free, in return she will grant each of them a wish.

Jim is unconvinced, so he says, “Alright, if you can grant wishes, then double my IQ.

Done!” says the mermaid. Suddenly Jim has a way with words, can express himself clearly and can even write poetry effortlessly.

Rick is so amazed at what he’s just witnessed, he says to the mermaid, “Alright, I want you to triple my IQ.

Done!” says the mermaid. Suddenly, Rick can do complex arithmetic calculations in his head with ease.

Well, Bobby is truly impressed with what he’s just seen, so he says, “Alright, I want you to quadruple my IQ.”

Sir,” says the mermaid, “I don’t normally try to change people’s minds when they make a wish, but you really should reconsider your request.”

Why?” asks Bobby.

Well, sir,” the mermaid responds, “the implications of what you’re asking will be greater than you think.”

Well, I don’t care,” says Bobby. “If you want us to set you free, I want my IQ quadrupled.

The mermaid smiles and says, “As you wish.”

With that, there’s a puff of smoke and Bobby suddenly turns into a woman.

5. Wasp Expert:

Jim is a world expert on wasps and the sounds they make and he’s walking along Main Street when he stumbles upon a record shop specialising in vinyl records.

Jim wanders into the store for a look around and he’s thumbing through the record racks when he finds an album titled ‘Wasps of the World and the Sounds They Make.’

Intrigued, Jim asks if he can listen to a track.

The clerk agrees and Jim steps into the booth to listen.

Well, he listens but he doesn’t recognise the sound.

So, Jim says to the clerk, “Hey buddy, I’m an expert on wasp sounds and I didn’t recognise the sounds on that track.”

Sir, I’m sorry,” says the clerk, “let me play you another track.”

Another track is played but Jim doesn’t recognise that sound.

Listen, buddy,” says Jim, “I am a wasp expert, and I don’t recognise that sound either.

Let me play you another one then,” says the clerk.

Another track is played with the same result.

No!” says Jim, “I’m sorry but these are not wasp sounds. I’m an expert and I’d know.”

The clerk looked puzzled momentarily, as he studied the album.

Then he suddenly exclaimed, “I’m sorry! I’ve just realised, I was playing you the bee side.
