7 inspirational quotes about experience

quotes about experience

Today I want to explore some quotes about experience.

Education is a fine thing, but nothing beats experience, in my opinion.

There is nothing anyone can tell you that will be more valuable to you than doing it for yourself, getting your fingers burned and learning from the experience.

You’ll forget many things you were taught in a classroom but you won’t forget your mistakes, mishaps and the experience you got from them.

So don’t worry about making mistakes for mistakes can be pure gold, provided you don’t repeat them too often.

From mistakes, you’ll get experience and experience is a valuable and much sought-after commodity.

As a hiring manager, I value people with experience. The more experience you have the less likely you are to make mistakes whilst you’re on my payroll. So it’s good business to hire for experience I think.

However, let me add that I’m not dismissing the value of education. I can tell you now that education is important too, dear reader. Not necessarily a college or university education but certainly through reading, listening and learning. What you might call self-education.

Learning is an investment in you and it can pay great dividends.

The higher your level of education, the more you can earn potentially. Learning is a lifelong process, so don’t forget you must always keep your knowledge current.

And if you have both experience and knowledge then you can go as far as your ambition and determination will take you.

Here are seven inspirational quotes about experience to reinforce today’s message.

Quotes about experience:

  1. The only source of knowledge is experience. ~Albert Einstein
  2. Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes. ~Oscar Wilde
  3. Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience. ~Paulo Coelho
  4. People grow through experience if they meet life honestly and courageously. This is how character is built. ~Eleanor Roosevelt
  5. Experience is the teacher of all things. ~Julius Caesar
  6. If you want to know the taste of a pear, you must change the pear by eating it yourself. If you want to know the theory and methods of revolution, you must take part in revolution. All genuine knowledge originates in direct experience. ~Mao Zedong
  7. Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved. ~Helen Keller

How to overcome laziness in 4 steps

HOW TO OVERCOME LAZINESS Laziness can get the best of us, can’t it?

We’d all love to be more productive, but often we lack the energy and drive.

Do you ever feel a little work-shy and sluggish, dear reader? If you do, you’re not alone.

The problem is that if we don’t deal with our laziness, we can never get anything done.

And if we don’t get anything done, work and chores all pile up, which increases our stress levels. Small jobs can become very big jobs if we get into the habit of leaving things for another day.

And that makes it even harder for us to get going and get things done.

We have to be on top of our work all the time, whether we’re in the office or at home.

And to do that, we have to be on top of our feelings of laziness and force ourselves to get going if necessary.

Do you need help to overcome your laziness? Don’t worry; help is at hand.

How To Overcome Laziness In 4 Steps: The Video

In this short video, Emil Ihsan-Alexander Torabi offers some useful advice on how you can overcome your inclination to laziness, should it be a problem for you.

We can all be lazy at times, and I’m as guilty as the next person. However, the tips in this video have helped me, so I recommend them to you.

How to stop worrying and start living

How-to-stop-worrying.webpWe all tend to worry a bit more than we should.

Worrying is natural, but it is rarely helpful. It just adds to our stress levels. And what’s the worst thing that can happen anyway?

And even if it did happen, would worrying have stopped it from happening?

Life’s too short to stress ourselves out with worry.

The question is, how do we stop ourselves from worrying? Well, consider this idea.

Dale Carnegie’s book How to Stop Worrying and Start Living is a very useful guide. This book is a great personal development text and it’s well worth reading. I can strongly recommend it to you.

How to stop worrying:

However, until you have the chance to read it this animated video provides a useful summary of the key ideas in the book.

So I can recommend you watch this video now and then read the book whenever you get the chance.

Further reading:

Readers serious about their own personal development will be keen to establish their own small library of motivational resources I’m sure.

Dale Carnegie’s book would be an essential addition to any personal development library and it can be purchased HERE.
