But how can you not have respect for a guy who’s been down on the floor and just keeps coming back? Nothing will keep Donald Trump down until they drive a wooden stake in his heart and a silver bullet in his brain. You’ve got to have respect for that.” ~Felix Dennis

This observation on Donald Trump by British publisher Felix Dennis was originally quoted in Forbes magazine. I have never met Donald Trump but I do admire his positive attitude and his determination. In one of his books Donald Trump tells a story about when one of his businesses went bust. He was left owing US$9 Billion in debt. His wry comment was that he knew he was in trouble when he was walking past a tramp in the street and he realised that, at that moment in time, the tramp was US$9 Billion richer than him. That situation would crush most people but not ‘The Donald’. Like a phoenix from the ashes, his business empire rose again. You really have to respect and admire that I think. He provides us all with a very important lesson; never ever give up. Just because you’ve made mistakes, it doesn’t mean you cannot use what you’ve learned and start again. Rock bottom can provide you with very solid foundations on which to build.
