To be successful, you have to want it so bad that it hurts. You must be focused on your goals; you must be disciplined; you must be determined; you must be prepared to make sacrifices; you must be prepared to work very, very hard; and you must possess self-belief too. Nothing worth having ever came easy. If you want it then you must be prepared to pay the price in blood, sweat and tears. It won’t happen overnight; you will experience failure from time to time; and you will question whether you’re good enough over and over again. The temptation to quit will be overwhelming at times; you’ll be tempted to settle for an easier life. Don’t! Success can be achieved if you stick at it and just keep going. Focus on the prize. In the words of the great Muhammad Ali, I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.’ Success can be yours if you work hard and hang on in there until you achieve what it is that you want to achieve. So, go for it. It’s better to try and fail than never having tried at all. ~Roy Sutton

Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy. ~Norman Vincent Peale

Commitment is a big part of what I am and what I believe. How committed are you to winning? How committed are you to being a good friend? To being trustworthy? To being successful? How committed are you to being a good father, a good teammate, a good role model? There’s that moment every morning when you look in the mirror: Are you committed, or are you not? ~LeBron James

Successful people maintain a positive focus in life no matter what is going on around them. They stay focused on their past successes rather than their past failures, and on the next action steps they need to take to get them closer to the fulfillment of their goals rather than all the other distractions that life presents to them. ~Jack Canfield

The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will. ~Vince Lombardi

At the end of the day, you are solely responsible for your success and your failure. And the sooner you realize that, you accept that, and integrate that into your work ethic, you will start being successful. As long as you blame others for the reason you aren’t where you want to be, you will always be a failure. ~Erin Cummings

Every successful individual knows that his or her achievement depends on a community of persons working together. ~Paul Ryan
