Quote of the Day

Vector illustration of speech bubbles“You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.” ~Dale Carnegie

It is true; the art of bonding with other people is to take an interest in them. Show them you’re interested and show them you care and you’ll be amazed at how quickly people warm to you. We all like to think we matter. We all like to think our opinions matter. And we all like to think we lead interesting lives. When other people take an interest in us it reinforces the feeling that we matter. And so naturally we warm to anyone showing an interest in us. Next time you meet someone, instead of trying to impress them by bragging about you, show an interest in them and ask them about themselves and their views on whatever subject comes to mind. Take an interest in other people and you will have lots of friends. Boasting about you will never be the way to win friends and influence people.
